  "This grandma found it's never too late to rekindle the love of painting. I got caught up in my busy life and forgot that fifty years ago I had spent a lot of time at my easel. Two years ago I found Janet. She brought me back to the joy of painting. She kept me on track and inspired me to accomplish new things. She was with me every step of the way. Last summer my joy increased when my granddaughter and I spent an afternoon taking a class in Janet's studio. What fun we both had. My plan is to keep on painting with Janet."

  "From my first encounter with Janet I knew she was going to be the right art teacher for my 10 year old son. Art class became his weekly highlight and the work he produced under her instruction exceeded my expectations. Janet is so kind and patient. She is encouraging of all skill levels and an incredible art teacher. Janet introduces my son to several different mediums and always kept his lessons interesting. He loved all the different quality materials she supplied and is very proud of his framed masterpieces! I would highly recommend Janet if your child is looking to improve their art skills!"

  "Janet is a wonderful art teacher and motivator. From the first lesson she gave our daughter 6 months ago through today, she has been extremely supportive and helpful in improving our daughters skills and love of art. The quantum leaps in skills and confidence our daughter has shown has blown us away. I can not recommend Janet more strongly. She is truly masterful in her knowledge of multiple art media and the ability to get the most out of her students through teaching and caring."

  "Janet is amazing! My daughter has been taking lessons with Janet for six months now. Not only is Janet a master teacher, she warm, welcoming, and has a wonderful sense of humor. She has a way of making her students feel welcomed and at ease right from the first meeting. I've watched my daughter's technique and skills as an artist grow like magic under Janet's guidance, and am continually amazed at the pieces she produces as a young artist. Her confidence has also dramatically increased, and she is proud of the work she creates. We look forward to each lesson and are so thankful that we found Art Room 140!"

  "Janet is an amazing art teacher! I took two classes at CVU ACCESS with Janet - Painting with Oils and Explore Charcoal and Pastels. I also took several private lessons in her own studio. Janet taught me a lot about drawing perspective, mixing and blending colors, cutting and measuring a mat board, painting with other mediums, etc. She is so knowledgeable and resourceful! I have seen huge improvements in my drawing and painting. What makes her the best teacher is that she inspires you by giving you so many ideas and tips; also she makes personal connections with each student and uses humor that makes your experience as a painter even more interesting. I can't wait to take more lessons with her."

  "Once you meet Janet you immediately feel a connection. As a late dabbler in painting (finally settling on oils after watercolors) I was having trouble getting back into it after a year’s absence. Now 5 private lessons later I’m once again inspired. I love having the one on one instruction which allows me to learn new techniques, and correct and enhance known techniques. The tips I’ve learned are time saving, can speed up your process and help with painting."
