In 1969 Grandmaster Bruce V. Twing founded the first Vermont TaeKwonDo School in Hardwick, VT. The Blue Wave TaeKwonDo Association offers Children, Adult, Beginner and Advanced classes. Students begin by learning basic kicking, punching and blocking, moves. And then as a student progresses, these moves are applied to traditional, Self-defenses, and sport aspects of the art.
They have over 10 schools in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.

- April 12, 2012"My 7 year old daughter has been attending for a few months and is really liking the program. The class is for younger, elementary school age kids. The prices are fair, especially since they have multiple instructors each night 34 a night. The instructors do a great job herding high energy kids late in the day to a focus on Tae KwonDo and learning the basic elements. They do a nice job encouraging the kids who have varying skills and attention each day. Everyone is made to feel included We are really happy with the program."- DaleJava
