Bolton Potholesis a popular spot made up of 5 waterfalls that each create their own pool of water. The last one also has a rocky beach. As one of the closest swimming holes to Burlington, it can be very popular on warm summer days. Head upstream to get away from the crowds.

The Joiner Brook runs alongside the Bolton Valley Access Road that heads north towards the Bolton Valley Ski Resport.

    "Agree with Steeljill, the upper potholes can be dangerous for anyoneexperienced or not. Lots of drinking and smoking too. However, the lower portion is nice. Definitely will get crowded on a hot day. "

    "Great for a Toddler the Entiire Family. At the bottom of the Potholes is a little beach sandyrocky that my one year can explore and wade into the water. At that same spot iare two deeper pools so bring floatees if your kids use them. I would stay away from the upper Potholes with any young kids. You can park at the beginning of the Access Road or the little school one road down. "
