Welcome to the 30th Anniversary of the Burlington Irish Heritage Festival!
This year introduces something new: an authentic seanchaí (Irish story teller and worldwide traveler), celebrating our theme of Irish mythology. Our headline event, The Murphy Beds, who have toured from Ireland to Washington DC, to Alaska, will follow our Festival Ceili at City Hall. As a special treat, Session on Main, an informal session group that has attracted national attention for many years, will be launching their album, The Wild Geese. And you can expect many more surprises, along with the usual favorites from genealogy instruction to the children’s ‘instrument petting zoo’; and from Irish singalong to ceili dancing.
Check out the event schedule here – and check again nearer the time for any updates.
