They offer programs tailored to the needs of different ages ranging from 2-19. They specialize in separate programs for Motor Development, Recreational Classes, & Competitive Teams. Their success in each of the three programs is due to their staff’s experience; small, well-organized groups; quality, well-organized equipment; close supervision; and the level of attention to each child, in part afforded by the size of our facility.

"If I could give this business 0 stars, it would be more accurate. Woody and Mary should not be running a gym. They have body shamed and belittled my daughter in their abusive environment. Unfortunately, it took us a while to realize why they don’t want parents to stay during practice. My daughter was fearful of how they would treat her if she told us how they treated her. In this day and age, no one should be making disparaging comments directly to any child about their weight and their families. I cannot believe that this gym is still in business based on the owners' fundamental lack of respect, negative outlooks, and improper responses to the athletes that go there. In addition, their gym has not been maintained and has outdated equipment in their older, unsanitary gym. If your child has any interest in gymnastics, please go to any other gym - you’ll be thankful you did."

"My daughter was a gymnast with Woodie and Mary for 10 years and had a good experience at Champlain Valley Gymnastics! The coaches - Woodie and Mary treat the girls like family and make sure they know all the basic gymnastics skills; and that they are done well. They focus on the sport and the kids. Bottom line - this gym is a simple gym with a good, safe environment. Nice small class sizes: And two coaches who care."

"I have no idea how this gym is still open. Furthermore, I'm shocked the owners haven't been sued yet. I would have done it myself, but I and my family have been traumatized enough. Woodie and Mary are the definition of abusive coaches. I personally am traumatized along with others that I know of. As a result of their coaching, I know of several people who now suffer from mental disorders as a result of constantly being told they are not good enough, constantly being screamed at when the slightest error was made, being told they have gained too much weight, being told they will never be a good gymnast, being told that other girls from other gyms hate them, being told that their injuries are in their head or they're being a wimp or making it up because they are lazy. These two have caused me to believe I will never be good enough for anyone or anything. I spend my life truly believing that I am a failure whenever I make a mistake. I have suffered from anorexia, depression, and anxiety. Someone who is very close to me also experiences all of these and more. They have suffered from bulimia to the point of being 90 pounds, cutting, rehab. They have tried to kill themselves because of the constant abuse of coaches who absolutely should not be in the business. You see all of the articles about abusive USA gymnastics coaches. Woodie and Mary are the definition of this. I didn't realize what was wrong with me, why I am so incredibly messed up and struggling through life, until I read these articles. I realized that I spent the majority of my gymnastics career under coaches who abused and controlled me. I don't have the energy or the stable mental health that I need to start a lawsuit against Woodie and Mary, but God, I hope someone does."

"It is a great place. My daughter learned a cartwheel in no time because they showed her an easy technique and the floor was marked with locations for hands and feet. It took her one class to learn something that she was desperately trying to learn for a year at another recreational gymnastics place. We tried two other places before we ended up with Champlain Valley. One place was like a huge enterprise, with long waiting times until your kid's turn comes up to have fun for a second and wait again for another eternity. The other was more fun but no new learning just doing whatever you want with minimal guidance. Champlain Valley Gymnastics was just right. With groups small enough to get proper attention. The trainers have an eye for identifying challenging areas and offering easy techniques to correct those challenges for your kid."

"The owners of this gym were hard to communicate with and very rude. They were discriminatory to my child based on her identity. They demonstrated that they have little respect for family values. I observed a very negative, narrow-minded atmosphere that is not where I would send my children."

"Woodie and Mary are great coaches and have the experience, professionalism, and patience to help your child achieve their gymnastics goals. Class sizes are small and the kids quickly become friends, cheering each other on. So pleased with our experience so far with Champlain Valley Gymnastics."
