The Cycle the City route is one of Burlington’s most popular cycling routes, second to the Island Line Trail (Waterfront Recreation Path).

It is a self-guided, 10 mile, easy loop that starts at the Local Motion Trailside Center, heads north along the Lake Champlain waterfront following the Island Line Trail before veering west into the New North End and Ethan Allen Park, past Ethan Allen Tower and the Ethan Allen Homestead, through or around the naturalist wonderland that is The Intervale, through the historic Old North End, past the University Of Vermont and Champlain College and back down the hill to Perkins Pier and Local Motion again.
