One Mitten Farm has been called “Heaven on Earth” by many because the animals are all so loving and quiet. Let your child be a part of our magical Donkey Days at One Mitten Farm. There will be farm chores with a touch of whimsy plus loads of outside fun with crafts, games and Friday Fiesta.
Farm chores and fun:
- grooming and walking donkeys
- checking coop for chicken eggs
- caring for baby chicks
- feeding and caring for barn cats
- throwing hay
- cleaning stalls
- sweeping barn
- filling troughs, measuring grain
- keeping the donkeys healthy
- picnics with the donkeys
- making our own healthy lunches
- rope tying, braiding, painting
- learning parts of the donkey
- fun in the forest
- tractor rides
- playing corn hole and horseshoes
- panning for gold
- creating obtacle course for donkeys
- barn dance

- June 24, 2014"Christie and her counselors are amazing! Your child will spend a fun filled week at on very special farm amongst the sweetest animals around. The activities are unique and creative. Making paper mache pinatas, making yummy quesadillas on the grill, taking care of the animals, walking Arthur and Ernie the worlds cutest miniature donkeys. I must say the Christie and her staff go above and beyond for the kids and their families. I would recommend this camp to anyone who may be interested in sending their child to an animal camp. For my granddaughter, being able to hang out with Ernie and Arthur the donkeys and all of the other beautiful animals there really did make her experience Heaven on Earth! - June 20, 2014"This camp is amazing! My 8 year old daughter was signed up for the first week and begged to be signed up for the second week. Christie is a hands on owner who teaches each child farm etiquette, confidence and how to take care of animals. It's the cleanest barn I have ever seen! If you have a child who loves animals it's worth checking out, my daughter will be at her camps next year...or hopefully she will have a camp sooner."- Cindy DuBois
