Located on Lower Church Street, El Gato Cantina is a traditional Mexican restaurant. On their menu you will find tamales, carnitas, fresh salsas, chili relleño and at least 10 different kinds of tacos. There are lots of vegetarian and gluten-free Mexican dishes as well. They source their food locally whenever possible.
The kids menu items include Enchilada or Taco with Rice and beans, Chicken Quesadilla, Taco and Nacho Plate, Chicken and Beef Burrito.
Visit their other location in Essex as well.

- October 4, 2011"I have been to El Gato on two occasions now. The food was great both times. The location on Lower Church Street is ideal if you are going to a show at the Flynn Theater park only once. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Although there is a kids menu, nios might enjoy food from the main menu as well. There is no gringo food here so if you child will only eat a burger or pasta you'd best look elsewhere for you next meal."- missmagpie
