"We love this state park. Not only is it beautiful but the park is clean and everyone is friendly. There is plenty of shade the lake gets deeper gradually so it is great for kids. We went camping there for the first time this summer and the sites were well raked, clean, and spacious. If you have small children I would ask when booking for a site without a steep drop. There were several sites whose edges bordered a really steep drop which could be dangerous for young children. "

"True Vermont Beauty!! The Emerald colored Lake, clean and clear and refreshing to swim in, with a accessible Rope Swing available for all ages. The view of the lake from beachside to Camping site is breathtaking. A full line snack bar and clean restrooms that have available showers. Friendly, cheerful staff always have us coming back year after year. I am a mother of two young boys, I have been coming to Emerald lake State Park since I was young myself, this is a great family park that creates wonderful memories for you and yours. There is also a playground close to the waterside which allows easy access to a quick dip and playtime again. A middle Island that is close enough to swim too is a fun activity as well. The beauty of swimming in a Vermont Lake is that you also can bring floaties, inflatables and Tubes to relax lazy river style. All and all our family Loves all Vermont State Parks, but our local one is Emerald Lake State Park. We are truely honored to live around so many Pristine Beautiful Vermont State Parks, Thank You!"
