First Roots - Wild Roots: Childcare, Camps, and More

First Roots Wild Roots is a nature-based early education program with centers in Hinesburg and Underhill, Vermont. We believe in play-based, outdoor experiences that are appropriate to each child's developmental level.​

We value each family as a child's first teacher. We are committed to building a community where families feel connected to one another and to the greater Hinesburg and Underhill communities.

At First Roots-Wild Roots, we take care to select experienced, educated, kind, and caring teachers for our schools. Our programs are staffed by knowledgeable educators, including licensed educators and staff with higher degrees in related fields. We are committed to supporting the continued growth of our team and participate in professional development coursework that benefits our classrooms in unique ways. We became a S.E.E.D (Schools Excelling in Emotional Development) Certified school in 2024!

As an Eco-healthy Childcare certified program, we are also committed to making sustainable environmental choices and business practices both inside and outside of the classroom.
