The Fletcher Free Library is a vibrant member of the Burlington community. Their collection includes music CDs, books on tape, videos, a vast array of children's materials, and over 100,000 books. In the future, the Library will continue to seek out programs and services that will fulfill our patrons' pursuit of educational, cultural and life-long learning opportunities.

The Fletcher Free Library hosts many weekly events for young children and teens.

Tuesday 10am - 8pm
Wednesday 10am - 8pm
Thursday 10am - 6pm
Friday 10am - 6pm
Saturday 10am - 6pm
Sunday 12 noon - 6pm

Museum Pass Program:

Check out a pass to local museums: Vermont Museum, ECHO, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, Vermont Historic Sites, Vermont History Museum, Vermont State Parks, and more.

"I'm so grateful for the summer reading program. The staff is always willing to help and get kids excited about book. My 9 year old has had a blast every time we visit, the passes you can checkout for echo, Shelburne Museum, etc. Are so helpful for a single mom. Thanks again for all the amazing experience!"

"I have been going here for years with my 2 girls ages 6 and 7. The staff is wonderful and there are lots of activities to do for all ages. The children's section is huge we never run out of things to do or books to read!"

"After being cooped up in the stroller downtown for most of a Saturday afternoon, we headed into Fletcher Free Library for a change of pace. They have a nice children's section with a great selection of books for every age group. There are tons of toys, blocks and puppets to play with, too."

"This is a great library with the best kid selection around- and Robert and Gigi singing was a fun attraction! Unfortunately they don't reciprocate like all of the other towns do. You need to buy a library card if you aren't from Burlington."
