This bookstore located in the heart of Shelburne Village carries more then 40,000 books, gifts, audio books, and other treats for book lovers of all ages. They have a large selection of children's books, carry many local Vermont authors and have several in store events.

- September 28, 2011"I enjoy taking my kids to this local bookstore in the heart of Shelburne village. They regularly have great events with local authors. They are held in a separate, intimate, loft space above the store. Often times they also include a handson craft or demo. The author's books is always for sale right there in the back of the room. This is done so that your child can have the Author personally sign hisher copy. What I don't love is the pressure perhaps selfimposed to purchase the sometimes expensive book. After my child has heard the author passionately read an excerpt from the story, she can't help but want to read the whole thing. Sure I could check the book out of the library next time we are there, but it is hard to say no when the rest of the kids are all getting their copy signed at the door. It makes this free event not so free after all. "- missmagpie
