Locate in a restored 1820's brick farmhouse in the heart of Essex Town is where you will find the Green Mountain Montessori School. The curriculum is based on the beliefs and guiding philosophy of Maria Montessori, an early 20th century physician and educator.

The extended care programs:
- before school program runs from 8:00 to 8:30
- after school program runs from 3:30 to 4:30.
The program is stars accredited and Kindergarten licensed and Licensed by the State of VT DCF.

- July 5, 2013"My youngest daughter attended the Green Mountain Montessori School for three years two preschool kindergarten. It was a wonderful experience for her that taught her to be a selfmotivated learner who was more than prepared for public school. The teachers at the school were not only excellent teachers, but really skilled at encouraging my child to learn on her own. The community atmosphere of the school is a real asset to the program students and their families feel a part of a larger school family.
