"Last year, after trying for 7 years to get tickets to the Polar Express in Burlington, I happened to see an add for the Hartford VT Polar Express. Tickets were so easy to get, it made me a little nervous that it wouldn't be worth the 2 hour drive. BOY WAY I WRONG!! My boys ages 7 and 3 LOVED it, and so did my husband and I. I can not compare it to others, as this was our fist, but it was just plain magical. Parking was extremely easy. There was face painting and of course the Polar Express Movie to watch while we were waiting, and Elves everywhere. Once on the train we got our own table and both boys were able to sit next to the window. There were carols, the reading of the story, hot chocolate and cookies, and finally Santa the most real Santa I have ever met. The kids all where name tags so he even knows the by name. The train ride lasts about 25 min or so. I have already purchased tickets for this years ride and my boys are so excited to go back. It is well worth the drive from our house and hoping to make it a family tradition for some time."
