Lareau Swimming Hole
Located off Route 100 across from Lareau Farm Inn, this swimming hole offers a little something for everyone. Shallow waters near the shore are great for little ones learning how to tread water, while directly across the river, rocks provide a seven-foot-tall platform to leap into a 12-foot-deep water for the older, bolder crowd.
Bring a picnic and a blanket--it also boasts a sandy bank, grass picnic area, parking and toilet facilities. Or stop by American Flatbread for dinner afterwards. It's located just down the road.

- September 13, 2010"This is THE BEST family swimming hole we've been to so far! There is a wonderful swimming area, small beach, grassy picnic area, portolet although not always so clean...AWESOME jumping rock that's not too high for kids but just high enough to get a rush. Follow the trail behind the jumping rock and find a great little waterfall. Lots of parking off the road. Grate spot to go for a bike ride and then jump in the river to cool off. Also, conveniently located across the street from the American Flat Bread company."- tinvt
