Sunset cruises, bareboat charters, daysails — Enjoy an unforgettable peaceful sunset cruise. Bring a picnic if you want and sail away with or without a captain for a few hours, full day, and up to a week. Their Hunter 29.5 is a perfect boat for an overnight on the water and a romantic sunset outing.

They sail to Juniper Island (3.75 miles) when the wind is S5-10K. They cross the lake (11 miles) if the wind 10-20K (but they need at least 3 hours for that and no TS in forecast). Sometimes they sail to the 4 brothers islands (3.55 miles from J.I.) and Willsborow point (6 miles from J.P).

Directions

Get on board at the Burlington Boathouse at slip #55 on the north side of the Boathouse.

"My family of 4, plus our college aged niece and nephew, recently had the pleasure of going out on 2hour sail with Gideon. His 29.5' boat is the perfect size for a group of 6 to spend a few hours out on Lake Champlain. There is enough space to sit in back with two captain chairs and bench style seating. Plus once you are out to sea, you are free to sit up front. You can find Let's Go Sailing at the Boathouse, around to the right side Splash. We brought our own towels, a picnic, drinks, swim goggles and kids' life preservers although he has plenty of preserves on board. Kids under age 12 are required to wear them at all times. Pretty much as soon as we had backed out of the slip and were heading out of the harbor, Gideon asked if anyone in our group wanted to captain the boat. What a thrill for our 12 year old as he has been in sailing camp all summer. While we were sailing out to Juniper Island, Gideon provide some history about the lake and showed us a map that pointed out some of the surrounding area. On the way back in, everyone wanted to take a quick dip off so we pulled in close to shore near Oakledge park and dropped anchor. Those who wanted could jump off the back of the boat for a swim. I would recommend going out with Let's Go Sailing to anyone family who wants to spend a few hours on the lake. The boat is clean, the crew is friendly and the whole process is completely hassle free. Just show up and they take care of the rest. Disclosure While I was invited to go sailing with Let's Go Sailing and they paid for most of my expenses, my review reflects the honest opinions of my experience without outside influence."
