Geneviève is a certified massage therapist whose interest in massage grew out of a greater calling to care for pregnant women and new parents. She co-owns Birth Journeys, where as a certified doula and childbirth educator she teaches classes in childbirth education, infant massage, and massage for couples, and attends births as a labor &birth doula. Originally from Quebec City, she is a graduate of Touchstone Healing Arts, Birth Arts International, International Childbirth Education Association, Concordia University and Laval University. She lives in Burlington with her husband and four children.¬†

- November 11, 2013"Genie is perfect for me. Her touch is firm but gentle. She always takes the time to review what my needs are at the beginning of the session. She also often checks in with me during the massage to make sure I like the intensity of her touch. I love the music she plays too, not too new agey She makes sure I drink water afterwards, and as a nice plus, she'll turn on the heater on the massage table if I want to feel extra cozy, or use hot stones if I am particularly tense. She just makes me feel really comfortable, and then I can really enjoy my massage and I'll usually feel relaxed for the next 2 days after that!"- Karine Poulin
- November 10, 2013"Nothing beats a good massage, and there's nothing worse than a bad massage. Each time I try a new person I hold my breath and hope for the former. When I had my first massage with Genie I was blown away. She is strong and sensitive at the same time. Your comfort is all she cares about. I hate massage therapists who want to talk to you. Really? I came here to relax, let my mind go, not chat. Genie gives small instructions, shift here, put your arm there, etc., but she is concentrating on my body, my mind was free to go where it wants. A good massage therapist is worth her weight in gold, and I'm here to tell you that Genie is one valuable woman."- jmintz

This was my second pregnancy and I was very pregnant for the massage, but she was able to skillfully arrange pillows and such so that I was quite comfortable, I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed. She did a great job balancing her attention so no area felt under or over worked. She also did provide extra attention on the areas I requested unlike other massage therapists I have used in the past.
