This is an easy-to-hike, one-mile trail loop maintained by the University of Vermont. Visitors can also explore the shoreline of Shelburne Pond in a canoe or kayak. The state-owned fishing access to the pond is located about one mile west of the intersection of Pond Road and Dorset Street about six miles south of Burlington.

    "Great spot for kayaking and canoeing best to go early in the season as some years there is significant algae build up later in the season. Easy access point and parking. Beautiful pond with nice shoreline march areas to poke around with the kids. The trail is nicely maintained and a great spot for a stroll."
