Pine Forest Children’s Center, is a new non-profit formed to assume operations of PFCC from HowardCenter.  PFCC has operated for 22 years, successfully providing high quality childcare to about 70 children and their families per year.

This program serves children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in integrated settings.  In the past 10 years, they’ve run a program called Supported Child Care (SCC), which allows them to work more effectively with high needs children and their families.  As a result of SCC, their center has become a “place of last resort” for many children and families, who have been kicked out of other area programs, for behavioral issues.  In PFCC’s 22 year history, they have never asked a child to leave.  Rather, they  wrap around the child and family and provide a higher level of services, to ensure success and so these children and families have a place they can utilize for child care services.

"This is a wonderful daycare center. My little one started at about one and a half and she still does not really want to go home from daycare! She loves going in. My husband and I are so happy to have such a wonderful place to take our child to. I will say that when we first went for a tour when our child was only 6 months I did think it was fairly messy and packed with stuff. Now that I have a toddler I must say messystuff is hard to avoid in the midst of play but what is most important is that the center is clean and it is neat again as kiddos start to get picked up! Some cosmetic remodels are being scheduled for this year and once carpeting gets replaced with bamboo the place will look spectacular. We do love it and after touring many other places and talking to many other parents I am thrilled to have my kid at PFCC!"
