  "What a great place for a birthday party! We celebrated our 5 year old's birthday here. We had a dedicated server for our event and 3 lanes for 11 kids bowling. The kids loved being able to bowl and then go into the arcade! Highly recommend Spare Time for kids birthdays!"

  "Our boys love to go bowling. The fun graphics on the screens help keep them entertained even when it's not their turn. The TVs in between lanes also kept my husband interested as he didn't have to miss the big game. The arcade is a little pricey but we did feel the prizes were a little better than other arcades we have visited. "

  "We've had company parties and personal experiences here. It's always a good time! We recently had my daughter's 5th birthday party at SpareTime and it was the easiest birthday party ever! I'm sure I would have spent more money having the party at my house, making it also a great value! Everything was so well organized and entertaining. We will definitely be back!"

  "I had never subscribed to the packaged birthday parties and always have gone out of my way to create unique birthdays for my kids. However, our busy lives were taking over and my son's 10th birthday was approaching and I didn't have time to plan anything too elaborate. So when he suggested Spare Time and we only had a few days to plan, I gave in and looked into the party options. Spare Time make it very easy to select the type of party you'd like to host there, right on their website. Between laser tag, the game room and bowling you've got great options and combinations. We picked 2 12 hours of Party Time which included 2 hours of bowling, pizza, 5 cards for each child to spend in the game room plus a game of laser tag. I added an additional game of laser tag for each child, selected the kind of pizza, opted out of gift bags, and submitted my request. Done! When party time arrived, 12 boys between the ages of 7 and 12 had an absolute blast. The customer service was terrific and it was the easiest party I have ever had. I applaud Spare Time for providing a very fun place for kids and adults, and for making the birthday party experience such a breeze for the parents!"

  "This was the second year we held a birthday party for my daughter at Spare Time, and this was at HER request. All details were taken care of by our hostess making for a stress free party Thank you Paige!! Bowling and game room games were a lot of fun and the laser tag arena was awesome!! Well worth the price! Thank you Spare Time! "

  "We hosted a LaserTag birthday party for my 8yearold son. It was very wellorganized and super fun for the boys. Every aspect was choreographed perfectly 2 games of laser tag, pizzadrinks, time in the arcade, cakesinging, and one final game of laser tag all for only 20kid."

  "We held a birthday party for our 9 year old son here and from start to finish, they did a great job. Booking the party was easy. They actually made a mistake and double booked their party room so they contacted us well in advance to tell us. They offered us 2 lanes of free bowling instead of the party room. This actually worked out well, because the kids bowled about half a game while waiting for their laser tag session to start. It would have been a HUGE waste of money to pay for bowling. The facility was modern and the kids had a blast playing laser tag. Our server did a nice job checking in with us and making sure we had everything we needed when we needed it."

  "Our son has begged us two years in a row to have his birthday party at Spare Time Bowling Alley in Colchester. Both times he had a blast and all of his friends did too. Between two hours of bowling, pizza and drinks and a card to spend at the arcade, we found the package to be a great deal. The facility was very clean and all of the staff was extremely helpful and great with the kids. We will definitely go back soon!"

  "Wow! If you're looking for an easy party, this is it! Spare Time did it all except the cake! Service was great, the facility is updated and very clean, all the game zone games are clean and in working order, and the new 2level laser tag arena is awesome. What a great deal. Plus we ordered burgers for the adults and they were the best in town. Highly recommended!"

  "Both of my children had there birthday party's here. We loved the bowling pin, the balloons, the game tokens and of course the bowling. Your party package comes with soda and 2 large pizzas. The pizza is nothing special but the kids enjoyed it. I think the price is right for everything that you get and i would recommend it to others."

  "We held a Birthday party at Spare Time and it was a huge success! The party price included shoe rental and bowling for up to 14 people, pizza, drinks, goodie bags for all the kids, and tokens for the arcade. Its very clean and had great friendly service. It was one of the best birthday parties we've held. The City Sports Grill and large parking lot are also a huge plus!"

  "Probably the cleanest bowling alley I have ever been to! The ramps and computerized bumpers made it possible for my preschooler to bowl and score a strike! The staff is always very friendly and we have never had a problem getting a lane. Of course, bowling prices can add up, but they offer a discount for our employer. Definitely recommend for ages 2 as a rainy daycold day activity."

  "Super fun for our entire family of 5 3 boys and a husband and friend's family 1 boy, 1 girl and a husband. Waiting for lane availability was a nobrainer in the attached sports bar, which served pretty good food for even the pickiest eater in our group. Because the kitchen for the sports bar services the bowling alley as well, however, don't expect immediate food delivery. Bowling shoes looked to be pretty new, and plenty of different sized bowling balls to choose from. A plus was the optional bumpers which can be player specific within one game, so it's not an all bumper or no bumper type of place. All in all, a great place to spend a cold afternoon."

  "very nice atmosphere. staff extremely friendly and helpful. went on a sunday morning. good rainy day event. definitely print out the coupon so you can bowl more than 1 game without it getting pricey. they have lower weight balls and a ramp and bumper gaurds for the little kids. food is slightly on the pricey side. clean bathrooms and environment."

  "I highly recommend Spare Time in general, and especially for birthday parties. My son had his fifth birthday party there and had a blast. The bowling alley decorates an area with balloons, tablecloths, etc. All we had to bring was the cake and party favors they do offer party favors for all kids for an extra cost. The staff was friendly and made every aspect incredibly easy. Be prepared to pay for the convenience, but I didn't find the cost much more than other options in the area. "

  "Spare Time bowling alley, spared nothing when it came to the renovation. They have it all! Starting with the computerized bumpers on the lanes. That's right. My 7 year old daughter and I bowled on the same lane. She had bummers up for her turn and then the computer put them down for mine sweet!. The stateof theart scoring system that handled that request is totally cool and easy to use. Our 10 year old and his friend negotiated their way right through it. It has great graphics and helpful tips to to get your bowling back on track should you end up with the dreaded split. We were there on a Friday afternoon and despite school being out and multiple birthday parties going on, it was not a problem to get two of the 36 lanes to ourselves. The facility is really clean and well lit. The were plenty of light weight balls to be found for our small kids and the staff was really helpful. We didn't go into the Sports Grille, but the menus were laying on the tables by the bowling lanes and I took a look. Not just pizza and hot dogs. It was quite extensive wings, pot stickers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs, personal pizzas, salads, sandwiches, etc.. Then of course there is the arcade. Think Pizza Putt but smaller. Same deal, token for the games. Your kid wins tickets which he then turns in for cheap little toys or candy. Hard to escape as it is right by the exit. It was a fun filled afternoon on a rainy day. They had everything, food, bowling and arcade games in a nice clean facility. That being said without our coupons, it would have been an expensive venture. Bowling games can rack up pretty quickly. Make sure to print the web coupon for a free game. You still have to rent shoes 3.50each."
