"My 13-year-old daughter wanted to pick up ballet again after a long hiatus. I don't think she has taken a dance class since kindergarten. I knew she would need to start in 'beginner ballet', however, I didn't think she'd feel comfortable in a class with 5-6 year old beginners. I emailed the owner of Spotlight to explain our situation. She assured me my daughter would feel comfortable in the advanced/beginner ballet class for teens with Chatch. She was right! She has been going for a month now and has had absolutely no problem stepping right in. Chatch takes the time to explain the positions and movements to her so she can catch up. The studio in South Burlington is conveniently located off of Dorset Street. I can either stay and watch class from the waiting room on the TVs or run errands at the nearby stores."

"My daughter is 4 and just finished up her first year in the tap/ballet program. Jess was great with the girls. What a lovely first year she had and looks forward to the fall."

"Jen does a great job with the kids. I agree with others that the production recital is a bit over the top. The recital tickets and costumes (I think we had five costumes in all), as well as the optional pictures and videos make that event pretty pricey. The program is so big that the recital takes two days. It seemed like our kids bookended both days, so we were there for every exciting minute of dance!"

"We had a very good experience at Spotlight - Jen Barden is great - my daughter really enjoyed dance class this year. I found the studio to be clean and organized and very comfortable for parents that needed to wait and watch their child on the TVs that are in all the waiting areas. I did have a little bit of a 'sticker shock' at the cost towards the end of the class though - with costume payments, buying $8 tickets and paying for a full...more"

"Spotlight On Dance is awesome! My little girl has been dancing here for 4 years! She has done ballet, jazz & tap. All teachers are very professional and really enjoy what they're doing. Their love of teaching really shows every day that my daughter goes into class. The end of the year is the best when they put on their Dance Recital. The costumes are beautiful and the show is excellent! We love Spotlight on Dance!"
