The Barn School

School Program: The Barn School is an independent elementary school serving grades K-8. At the Barn School they seek to cultivate relationships, encourage inner reflection, and serve through stewardship. This, along with a deep belief that all children belong and are honored for their unique gifts, builds a rigorous academic foundation.

They recognize that children learn best in an engaging and nurturing environment. They develop confident and creative learners, using a variety of teaching methodologies, tailored specifically to the needs and gifts of each child. Through individual assessments in temperaments, nurturance styles, and multiple intelligences, a unique portfolio is developed for each student that allows for every child to be taught as an individual in the ways in which they learn best.

Summer Camps: The Barn School (TBS) Summer Camp Program provides focused learning play opportunities from 8:30 – 4:30 (morning options available) on a weekly basis for children entering K – grade 4 (unless otherwise noted). Each week has a theme, and the mornings will be spent pursuing that theme or topic while the afternoons will be filled with fun and play!

The Barn School is located in an old, gorgeous barn on a 220-acre piece of land with hills, meadows, and woods.
