  "Mike was AWESOME! We booked him for our closing program for the end of our Summer Reading program at the Whiting Library. The kids had a blast and Mike set up a giant swinglike ride that they all quickly became obsessed with. A wonderful time was had by all!"

Mike was amazing, he handled sleet and rain with ease and the kept all of the kids happy and smiling. The birthday boy was so happy we are thrilled with the way things went.   "Mike was fantastic! We hired him without ever seeing him in action. Which was a little scary as we had no idea what to expect. He was great answering my questions and dealing with my crazy need to know how everything would work. The day of the party, he was prompt and got right to work setting up his activities. Our party was held in January in Vermont... so we needed something big enough inside we held ours at Memorial Hall in Essex and it worked great. This party was a great alternative to the usual winter parties in Vermont Bowling or Pizza Putt. I also liked that all the kids were contained. We didn't have to worry our kids were running into other bowling lanes or through a sea of strangers this party was held where we wanted it. The Medieval party included a catapult which was adult supervised, and kid released. It released soft ball pit type balls and was a big hit with all the kids. Each kid also forged their own sword. It was a pvc pipe concoction with a foam covering. The kids loved that. I was a little worried letting a bunch of wild 35 year old get a hold of the swords, but Mike put some ground rules which they all followed. He had a lovely castle the kids loved running into and laying siege to the castle as well with the catapult. The kids played games like chase the dragon Mike, jousting on their horse...Mike, and a ring toss trying to catch rings on their newly forged swords. And who wouldn't like to shoot crossbows at dragons? He had arrows not sharp... of course, which the kids got to shoot at almost like bowling pin decorated like dragons. He had a variety of games and activities to keep the kids busy and they were running around with smiles on their face the whole time! He helped calm the kids down by doing balloon animals at the end, which was another party favor the kids got to take home. Both the kids and the other parents absolutely loved it! We'd totally hire Mike again. He made our son feel special on his birthday and did a great job interacting with everyone, we'd totally RECOMMEND!"

  "Mike and all his awesome tricks came out for our twins 4th birthday party. I can not say enough good things about Mike and The Big Blue Trunk. From the moment he arrived with the birthday boys names on the side of his trunk my kids were mesmerized. The weather wasn't on our side but that didn't stop Mike from making sure that the kids had an amazing time. He doesn't miss a beat, is very engaging and very very entertaining. We went with a superhero theme and it was nothing short of fabulous. Mike brings all the fixings for a great party and kept 17 children laughing and active for 3 hours. He even cut the cake!! Having Mike there allowed time for my husband and I to be part of the excitement. There were costumes, games, animal balloons, bubbles and of course the highly anticipated life saving super heroes! I highly recommend Mike for a funfilled, action packed birthday party. Only downfall is that the boys want him to come over all the time now. We will definitely be calling on Superhero Mike in the future."

  "We just had a Big Blue Trunk for the second time. This time for my younger son's 8th birthday. We did a Star Wars theme. Wow. From the Jedi training to the light saber making... he had ten boys having a blast. The thought that goes into each activity is incredible. Mike has endless energy. He's amazing. If you are on the fence, hire him. The value is incredible. Both parties that Mike has helped with will be the most remembered childhood birthday parties I am sure."

He takes the stress out of party planning and expertly guides kids through a variety of fun and engaging activities.   "We recently hired Mike and the Big Blue Trunk for our son's 7th birthday party and it was fantastic. Winter parties with lots of young boys with lots of energy can be challenging but Mike had great games that kept everyone having fun for 2 hours! Even the parents joined in! Fun was had by all and everyone left with a smile on their face, along with party favors and animal balloons....all provided by Mike. It was great, from start to finish!"

  "Wow! We just had my son's 4th birthday party with The Big Blue Trunk and it was fantastic. Mike provides a fullservice operation from the customized bottle of sparkling cider as he arrives at your door to the incredible, fun and totally interactive games, to the tableware and the full clean up after all was done. Mike engaged the kids from start to finish and was a tremendous help to my husband and me to keep the flow of the party going. He brought everything needed for a party except the cake! and helped with every aspect of it. In addition to his games, we chose to do a piata and Mike helped move the kids through the line he helped serve cake and drinks, and just understood how to keep everything going smoothly. And most of all, he is just FUN. His games were totally age appropriate, safe, active, and silly. I highly, highly recommend The Big Blue Trunk for any party or event."

  "We had Mike for my son's 5th birthday party, and he exceeded our expectations for sure! We did the pirate theme, it was super cute! The backyard was transformed into a pirate adventure including a burried treasue chest. He did it all, the set up, the decorations, all the games, and the clean up! Great worker, and worth every penny! I would hire him again!!!!"

  "We hired Mike and The Big Blue Trunk for our daughter's 6th birthday party. The princess carriage and the catapult were amazing! We also appreciated the smaller details...linens for the picnic tables, goblets for the beverages, costumes for the kids and grownups to wear, music, and the bottle of sparkling cider with personalized labels. Our daugher also appreciated sitting at the head of the table, in a special chair fit for a princess! Mike just kept pulling things out of his trunk which blew us away!"

  "I just had the pleasure of seeing Mike in action for an entire day! At Kids Day, he worked the equivalent amount of time as 3 birthday parties backtoback and the first child was just as delighted as the last! His energy never waned and he didn't slow down for a minute. Mike will entertain your partygoers, no matter the age. He is a master at getting everyone involved parents too. He has a wonderful demeanor about him that is gentle and kind when giving instructions to the kids, even when they have to wait a moment and not shoot the cannons quite yet please. They all just seemed stop to listen. His bagoftricks is endless. The Big Blue Trunk is filled with so many games and props. Kids will have a ball. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mike to anyone looking for party entertainment for their Kids."

  "Serious fun. That is what my son and his friends had for his birthday party today. I agree with the other reviewer Mike is a super hard worker and worth every penny and then some! I literally did not have to do anything for this party other than write out the invitations and bring along the food. He was easy to work with and GREAT with the kids. The activities were age appropriate and Mike made sure that no child was left out. We did the medieval theme and it was great. From sword battles and ring tosses to the catapults and cross bows you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the games, materials used and general fun. I would hire Mike again in a heartbeat in fact, I will for my other sons party this fall. "

  "There is not a harder working guy in town than Mike Randall! Whenever we visit South Hero's Applefest, he is the highlight for our kids, so we were thrilled to hear he did private parties. We have since hired him for 2 parties at our house, one to entertain kids at my 40th, and a princessknight party for my 6 year old daughter. We were not disappointed! He is creative, and a master at getting everyone involved. Great props, great activities, great toys, super inventive without being cheesy...parents and kids alike LOVE him, and everyone has such an insanely great time!! I cannot recommend The Big Blue Trunk enough. You will not find more bang for your buck in Vermont."
