Great Harvest Bread Co. is a local bakery on Pine Street serving freshly made bread, sandwiches and salads.  They grind their wheat every day so their bread tastes super fresh.  You can stop by to taste a free slice of hot-out-of the oven bread anytime. Wednesday is usually gluten-free bread day, but check the monthly bread calendar so you can know before you go what is in the oven.

"Their Green Goddess panini was my favorite comfort food during one of my pregnancies. And every time we walk my my kids ask me if we can go get a free slice of bread! On the occasions I acquiesce, chances are good we'll also be purchasing at least a few delicious cinnamon buns too."

"We love Great Harvest! The space is bright and cheerful, and the folks working there are so warm and friendly. They'll offer you a big slice of warm bread as soon as you get there, and it's hard to choose among all their different delicious breads and rolls. They have wonderful sandwiches, too. It's owned by a local family who is involved in the community as well, which makes us feel good about eating there. It's a great place to stop in for breakfast or lunch or to pick up something good to eat at home."

"I like this local bakery on Pine Street that serves freshly made bread, sandwiches and salads. The space is wide open, like a loft, with seating both inside and out. You can definitely roll your stroller right in here. There is a space with some toys for kids. Specialty breads change on a monthly basis so you might check the calendar in advance if you are wondering what is available. We love that you stop by anytime to taste a free slice. Although sometimes it makes it even harder to just pick one bread to take home!"

"The folks who work here are very friendly. When you walk in, expect to be asked whether you want a free slice of bread. Say yes! There's also a little place in the corner with a few toys and books for squirmy kids. Sandwiches and breads are great. Muffins too! You can't go wrong here."
