  "We had a terrible experience with Vermont Nanny Connection, just to echo some of the more recent reviews. We were moving from out of state and had heard good things about it. Decided to go the nanny agency route because the stress of moving with tiny children already felt like enough stress. We contacted Lindsey well in advance and communicated our needs. Needless to say it was incredibly stressful when she didn't return phone calls and emails and didn't find us any candidates to interview until after I had already started work. I strongly encourage anyone considering an agency's services to look elsewhere!"

  "I have worked as a nanny and occasional sitter for families through VNC for the past 4 years. Hope was a wonderful owner and I have met many amazing families through VNC. When I decided to go back to school last year, I was too busy to work as a sitter so I lost contact with VNC. This past summer I contacted VNC again looking for a family to nanny for. I was surprised to learn that Hope had sold her business to the current owner, Lindsey. In the beginning, Lindsey seemed attentive and would frequently update me on current nanny positions that fit my schedule. However, this quickly changed. She rarely returned my phone calls and if she did respond to my emails, it took her a long time to do so..sometimes more than a week. She made it extremely difficult to communicate with and therefore to communicate with potential families. On one occasion, I had a confirmed scheduled interview with a family but she failed to provide me with the family's address. I called her all afternoon to no avail and therefore was unable to make the interview since I didn't have the family's address. For those who have never worked with VNC before, contact information between nannies and families is kept confidential until after an initial interview. It is up to VNC to essentially be the middle man and provide those details to the nanny or babysitter. She ended up apologizing and I was able to meet the family a few days later but the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. Lindsey is rather unprofessional in my experiences with her and Seems to put her own priorities before the needs of her clients. If you are a family thinking about using VNC to find a sitter or a nanny, I STRONGLY recommend saving your money and using other resources."

  "We had used Nanny Connection in the past. Hope was wonderful to work with. So when our second nanny who had been with us for over two years gave us notice that she was moving out of state it was only natural to contact Nanny Connection since we were so happy with Hope's help in the past. Well the new owner, Lindsey, wasn't as perceptive to our needs. She did not return telephone calls nor did she provide perspective applicants in a timely manner. We were really disappointed with Nanny Connection's service. We felt that the money that we sent in for the nanny search 100 plus 50 application fee was a total waste."

  "We have been members of the Vermont Nanny Connection's Sitter Connection since my son was born 5 years ago. I wrote a glowing review back in 2008 and I'm writing another one now! Hope is easily reached and has always helped us find a sitter sometimes with only 24 hours notice! All of the sitters we have met over the years have been highquality care givers, and I cannot thank them and Hope enough for being there for us!"

  "I work as a sitter and occasional fill in nanny for Vermont Nanny Connection and it has been a fabulous addition to my regular job! Hope is incredibly driven, kind, supportive, and a total ally for the nanny. I feel completely comfortable that I am going into a safe and straight forward situation each time I sit. Ive had a blast meeting and playing with the various little people I have encountered and on top of that I was given an incentive bonus for referring a friend! As an employee I absolutely recommend Hope and her company its been a great excperience!"

  "Nanny Connection babysitters were hired by my company to care for the children at our annual holiday party. My children had so much fun with the sitters and all the activities they brought that they did not want to leave! All of the sitters were very professional, friendly and fun. I would reccommend Vermont Nanny Connection to anyone planning an event where children attend! Nice work and happy holidays! "

  "I was in a pinch when my regular sitter wasn't available. I called Vermont Nanny Connection and Hope was able to place a wonderful sitter with us for the evening. The whole process was straightforward from start to finish. Hope emailed me a few questions about the ages of my children, how many hours I would need a sitter, etc. Shortly thereafter I received an email confirmation with the details about my sitter including her bio with how many years of childcare experience she had 18!, her CPR training, her personal interests and more. Plus her rates and contact information. Before I even had a chance to reach out to my sitter she called me to just to confirm and touch base. On the evening that our sitter came to the house, she did indeed arrive 10 minutes early per the VNC Sitter Connection program. She immediately tried to engage with our 8 and 11 yr. olds not so easy since he thinks he doesn't need a sitter anymore, then we had a quick chat, and my husband and confidently left for our evening out. While we were gone she made homemade pizza with the kids and we came home to a totally clean kitchen and kids who were in bed. It is true you are going to pay a bit more for this service a 20 agency fee and then 14hour for two children, but for us it was totally worth it to feel completely comfortable leaving our kids in the hands of a sitter that had been vetted by a professional."

Thier nanny selection process was thorough and efficient we had the entire process completed in less than two weeks! Vermont Nannies agency fees are fair and they actually give a discount to FAHC employees a great bonus for us! Hope was wonderful to work with, she understood exactly what our family needed and the result was just perfect!Thanks so much for helping our family I know my children are in wonderful, loving hands!   "They helped us find our nanny. Our nanny is wonderful and my thanks go out to Vermont Nanny Connection. Lisa and Nicole really went above and beyond to help us find such an incredible match for our family. My husband and I had originally hired a nanny we found off an online nanny agency. It was a nightmare! The nanny was very unreliable. I was talking to a friend about my predicament, and she suggested using the Vermont Nanny Connection. She had used them to find their sitter. I was extremely stressed, stuck in a time crunch, and in desperate need to find a reliable nanny. I decided to give them a call. I was amazed with how many qualified candidates they had for me!   "My husband and I are local business owners and unexpectedly found ourselves with no childcare and three weeks left of summer! Imagine our dismay. I called friends that I knew used a nanny service. Both the husband and wife recommended the Vermont Nanny Connection. Dorilee was very receptive to our time schedule, made time to come and visit us and quickly got us a few candidates for us to review. Dorilee is great with children and parents alike. By the next Monday, after visiting with our choices our nanny angel sent from heaven started working with us. I had to travel for a week right after she started and it was such a relief that our nanny was such a perfect fit. I could focus on my task at hand and not worry about what was going on at home. When our nanny need had ended I don't know who was more sad us or the nanny. In less than 3 weeks, this perfect match became a part of our family. We can't wait to see her again.   "I wish I had been as lucky as the mom who just commented. I used this service twice and it was a bad experience both times. I felt like I was very descriptive in what I was looking for but I was sent nannies who were just not a good fit. It was frustrating to say the least."

  "We subscribe to Vermont Nanny Connection's babysitter list we pay an annual fee to VNC and they send us a list of qualified sitters to choose from. I'm a stay at home mom, so we really only needed coverage sporadically to cover date nights or doctor's appointments, etc. In the last year there were a few times when we needed a sitter suddenly and Dorilee was able to find a sitter for us for the next day. Once she even got back to me with a name within 15 minutes of my call!! We have been very happy with the sitters we have met, all of whom we are very fond of and are now considered our regular sitters. I'm very grateful to VNC for their speed and for the consistently high quality of their sitters. Thank you!!"

  "I used Vermont Nanny Connection for childcare help over the summer. I needed a parttime, flexible nanny for about 20 hours a week. And the days were not regular each week. Dorilee connected me with the perfect nanny. The process was extremely efficient and effective. Through her interview process she brought us a nanny within 2 weeks that fit our need for flexibility. The credentials of our nanny and actually all of the candidates she showed us were outstanding. Our nanny is a local college graduate with an advanced childcare degree, soon to start as a teacher in a local school in the fall. Talk about highly qualified. She has also proven to be a perfect personality match for our family and my kids. Everyone is extremely thrilled with the match we made through the Vermont Nanny connection me, our nanny, and most importantly my kids. I'm extremely grateful to have this service in our area."
