Join us on February 22nd from 11AM - 2PM for the Intervale Center's annual Wintervale festival, a family-friendly, outdoor winter event that celebrates the Intervale Center's recreational opportunities and winter in VT! Enjoy cross country ski and snow shoe demos, winter walks, a bonfire, kids' activities, chili, hot chocolate and more at the annual Wintervale celebration in Burlington, Vermont.

- January 3, 2010"A lot of fun skiing this trail right in Burlington, 30 minute walk from downtown or 10 minute drive. It's free and lightly used. The trail could use a little better marking but you can also just follow the tracks. There are no real hills, so it makes a great trail for beginners and for those who just want to open up on a straight flat. Not that there aren't any facilities, it's just the trail. So be sure to pack in your own water and aprs ski snackyou and the kidlings will be hungry. I think you can rent skis at Ski Rack downtown if you don't have any and just want to give it a try."- gahlord
