Wonder Roots

Wonder Roots forest programs are 100% outside and include plenty of time and space in their woodland setting where participants can increase confidence, creativity and community. They support independence and autonomy, see children as trustworthy, capable humans, and believe that learning opportunities should naturally unfold through the inquiry, imagination and curiosity of the children. As a result, they see transformative benefits such as children feeling empowered, engaged and excited about their ability to build and create, problem solve and communicate with others and manage their day.

Summer camps: Wonder Roots offers Timbernook Summer Camps for kids ages 4-12 years old in Hinesburg and South Burlington. 

There enrollment "waves" scheduled for each of the following groups:

• WAVE 1: January 25: 9:00 AM-- Current Families
• WAVE 2: January 26: 9:00 AM-- Past Families (enrolled in programs during the last 1-2 years)
• WAVE 3: February 1: 7:00 PM-- Email List Subscribers
• General Enrollment: February 2: 7:00 PM-- Open to the public

All camps run M-F 9-3pm. Cost is $340 per week.

2025 Dates:

• June 16-20: Friends in the Wild-- Teddy Bear Tales (Age 4-8yr) in South Burlington
• June 23-27: Going Wild-- Land of Oz (Age 8-12) in Hinesburg
• July 21-25: Enchanted-- Fairytale Adventures (Age 4-8) in Hinesburg
• July 28- Aug 1: Going Wild-- Woodland Carnival (Age 8-12) in Hinesburg
• Aug 11-15: Storybook-- Eric Carle World (Ages 4-8) in Hinesburg
• Aug 18-22: Going Wild-- Quest for Hidden Legends (Age 8-12) in Hinesburg
• Teen Opportunity-- Mentor In Training (MIT): For ages 13-17.
