Join teachers from Crow's Path and the Find and Go Seek family once a month on Thursday summer evenings for a family walk in the woods. We will set off on a 45-minute loop walk through forest paths and share tidbits about the ecology, geology, flora, and fauna of the areas we explore. Walk will range from 1 - 1.5 miles at a leisurely pace. Families of all kinds are welcome!

Dates:

  • Thursday, May 29, 2025 - Arms Forest. We will meet at the entrance to Arms Forest behind the North Ave Alliance Church at 901 North Ave, Burlington, VT.
  • Thursday, June 26, 2025 - Ethan Allen Homestead, Burlington. We will meet at the main parking lot in front of the museum. Bring water and bug spray!
  • Thursday, July 31, 2025 - Delta Park, Colchester (Schedule change, originally 7/24). This is accessible from the Island Line Bike Path and there is a small parking lot at the entrance, but there is more parking at the boat launch just 30-40 yards away if needed! This is more of an exploration of Delta Park than a true hike, but there is lots to explore! You might consider bringing bug spray and sun protection.
  • Thursday, August 28, 2025 - Rock Point, Burlington - We will meet at the small parking lot at the admin building (past the school) and head into the trail system from there, exploring the area, possibly making our way to the beach!
