A Performance Workshop for All Ages - Circus on Stage @ NECCA

Free for all ages!

Circus is attention. Circus is patience. Circus is creation and balance and patterns and looseness and exuberance and showing off and supporting partners and silliness and serious fun! In this workshop we learn a little bit of balancing and juggling "skills," then quickly shift focus towards how to present those cool things we learned to each other. The class reduces the art of being "on stage" to its essentials: entrance, meeting the audience, the trick, an inevitable mistake and how to recover, a celebration (aka the style), and exit. We learn through technique, experimentation, teamwork, and (most importantly) messing up spectacularly! The space is supportive and welcoming. Families encouraged. https://necenterforcircusarts....
