So… what is FREE RANGE?
In uncertain times, the Holstein cow becomes an unlikely symbol of stability, survival, and the changing American landscape. FREE RANGE is CA$H COW’s thank-you to dairy farmers, and all farmers, who work seven days a week to feed us. It’s also a cheeky question: what does “free range” mean in a world where even freedom feels increasingly precarious?
Long live the cow. Long live the farmer. Long live the pasture.
Can’t wait until Saturday?
Thursday & Friday, Aug 27–28 · 12–5 pm
Catch CA$H COW at work during Open Gallery Hours and watch the extravaganza take shape.
For four decades, Ed Woodham has reshaped how communities meet art in unexpected places — as a queer conceptual social-absurdist artist, curator, educator, and founder of the internationally recognized Art in Odd Places. This August, he brings that lifetime of civic mischief to the Park under his outsider-folk alter ego, CA$H COW, our current Artist-in-Residence.
