Who’s singing, calling, nesting, or flying around the Birds of Vermont Museum? Discover birds on an early morning ramble in the Museum’s forest and meadows. Walks are led by experienced birders familiar with Vermont birds.

Bring binoculars and good walking shoes. Early mornings are often damp with dew and boots are definitely in order. Don’t forget bug spray/tick repellent!

"From a hikers perspective I recently visited with my 4 year old only to do the hiking trails. Not another soul was around which can be hard to find on trails in VT. What a great place to be for a quiet social distancing outing. The lower trails were fairly easy for my daughter and the higher we went the more she enjoyed the gradual slope not too bad for adults. There are also two long bridges that got her attention and she couldn't wait to check for trolls under them. Allinall a good few hours out and about. We'll definitely return throughout the seasons."

"We love the Birds of VT museum! The wood carvings are beautiful. My toddler loved looking at the wooden birds as well as the bird feeder viewing window. There is also a really great short hike to a small pond across the street."

"Although interesting from an adult perspective, this was not a great venue for the kids. They were wondering why the birds were not moving they were 2 12 and 5 12 at the time. One could see how a venue like this might readily appeal to an adult who was into woodcarving, but for the kids the Audubon Center just up the road is a much better bet."
