Generator Makerspace

Generator is a community makerspace where art, science, and technology come together. It is a space where people come to learn new skills, solve problems, and share what they know. Our goal is to provide the appropriate tools and opportunities so that everyone can enjoy and participate in the act of making!

School Partnerships & Field Trips

Partner with Generator for hands-on STEAM learning that will ignite curiosity and fosters innovation by bringing your class to our makerspace for programs designed to complement your curriculum and provide practical STEAM skills through two exciting options:

• Facility Tour + Interactive STEAM Project -During these programs students explore cutting-edge tools and technologies while designing and fabricating their own unique products tailored to their grade level.
• Immersive Design Labs - These sessions offer extended experiences with in-depth instruction on topics from metalsmithing to digital fabrication, guided by experienced educators.

AfterSchool Camps

Generator's AfterSchool Camps go beyond traditional learning and offer unique hands-on experiences where students learn to bring their ideas to life. Our programs incorporate advanced manufacturing and rapid prototyping tools and techniques, empowering young minds to design, create, and build their very own custom-made products. Generator's AfterSchool Programs run one day per week for 5 weeks which is perfect for families looking for after-school activities that inspire creativity, innovation, and independence.

Summer & Holiday Camps

Generator's week-long maker camps are designed to immerse students in exciting STEAM challenges where they'll design, build, and create their own incredible projects. From mastering 3D printing and coding to exploring digital fabrication and rapid prototyping, each day is packed with engaging activities that foster problem-solving and creative thinking. February Break Maker Camp

Generator's February Break Maker Camp is a 5 day camp for youth in grades 5-8. Each day explores unique hands-on experiences, tools, and materials. Brainstorm, build, create, and take advantage of everything this program has to offer at Burlington's favorite makerspace! This camp will cover a variety of machines and techniques including laser engraving, 3D printing, micro-electronics, sewing, screen printing, and more!

Capacity: 10 participants
Grades: 5th-8th graders

Generator’s April Break Maker Camp is a 5-day camp for youth in grades 5-8 focused on everything Dungeons & Dragons! Each day we’ll build something new to add on to your next D&D adventure. Make, craft, forge, and build some seriously mythical trinkets for your quests! Hands-on activities include dice making, adventure crafting, miniature design, character creation, dice towers construction, map making, character screens, and lots of adventure!

Become an expert at designing tabletop pinball games with PinBox 3000! Campers will design, build, electrify, paint, and play their games with the help of our lead instructor Syd and our collaborative team of designers and makers. Using cardboard, papercraft, custom 3D printed parts, and laser cut elements each camper will walk away with the coolest PinBall machine you can imagine. At the end of the week we’ll have a grand finale showcase to show off, celebrate, and play with everything you’ve made!
