Great Eddy Bridge Swimming Hole

The Great Eddy Covered Bridge over the Mad River is a popular, small swimming hole in Waitsfield Village with a rocky beach stretching out from the edge. You will find a deep pool located right below the bridge. Bridge abutments allow for leaping into 12-foot-deep water.

Remember your camera and see if you can capture the covered bridge in the background as your friends jump from the base of the 170+ year-old structure. 

Head upstream and find a less traveled spot with a strip of rocks in the middle of the river when the river is high.
