Groton Fall Foliage Ride

Family-friendly Great Ride on a Rail Trail.

The fun starts at the parking lot next to The Ballfield off Rte. 302 in S. Ryegate, VT. 9:30 AM for sign-in, route directions and bike safety check.

At 10:00 AM We Ride; Heading out through Groton State Forest on the Cross Vermont Trail.

Starting at S. Ryegate Ball Field riding west on the Cross Vermont Trail to the 4 corners at Lanesboro and back. This ride is about 22 miles long. You will ride under a canopy of brilliant fall foliage colors on your way past Ricker Pond, Lake Groton and on to the 4 Corners at Lanesboro, then back to the ball field in S. Ryegate.

For a shorter Family-friendly ride (Good for Family with younger children or less experienced riders) we suggest Boulder Beach Road as a turnaround point. Making this ride about 14 miles.

We suggest an After Ride Lunch at Upper Valley Grill. Help support our local business along the trail.
