"My 4 year old daughter took ballet lessons at the Shelburne location this year. The class itself, including the instructor, is enjoyable. I cannot recommend VBTS, however. The costs quickly spiral out of control, including registration fee monthly tuition costume fee 25 per person recital tickets, etc. There is one 45 minute class in June but we are being charged the full month's tuition almost 70. The recital itself is being held at the Flynn, which seems excessive for 4 year olds. There are 2 performances 1pm and 630pm. Each lasts 22.5 hours. The school scheduled young children into the 630pm performance and, when I called to express my concerns, the owner was dismissive and rude to me. The school seems much more focused on being a training ground for quasiprofessional ballet dancers than it does on being a fun, ageappropriate experience for young children. If your child just wants to experience dance, I would recommend that you consider other schools."
