- June 15, 2014"My family visits the waterfront often on our family walks. My kids like to see the talented kids in the skate park before heading to the swings along the boardwalk, If you are lucky enough to get one they are the perfect place to watch the sun set and enjoy creemes. "- katiebug1530

- August 13, 2012"Such a great place for a walk, a picnic, a wade in the water, or to swing on the swings next to the wooden boardwalk. Definitely a great place to stroll down to after a late dinner date. The Skinny Pancake is just up from Waterfront Park, and a walk down to the park after dinner makes a perfect ending to a great date. Parking can be difficult during the day, but it is right on the bikepath and if you can find a parking spot downtown, the College Street free! Shuttle goes down to the park even 15 minutes."- paddlekat
- June 14, 2012"This was a favorite place for my husband I to come across the lake to when we lived in Plattsburgh a couple years ago. So relaxing to sit on one of the swings and gaze out at the water on a beautiful summer day. Now that we are in VT we will be here a lot this summer I'm sure. Just gorgeous."- rougeurbleu
- August 17, 2011"This is a fabulous place for kids to walk and get close to the lake. There are swinging benches, always folks walking dogs and the boats are always coming in and out. A great place to be in the sunshine. "- mpc
- August 2, 2009"One of the highlights of downtown Burlington! So many things to do and see all within a short walk or bike ride. There is ECHO and the skate park of course, or just take a walk along the dock or walk path to view the scenery. Kids love watching the birds, dogs jumping in the water, college kids playing frisbee, etc. In the summer there is a mini train on wheels that will take you tofrom Church Street, or you can just walk it. And plenty of dining choices including Burlington Bay Market, Skinny Pancake, Splash at the Boathouse or the snack and ice cream shop near the railroad crossing."- ceb
