"We love spending time at Indian Brook. It's a great place for toddlers and preschoolers to do an easy hike and our dog loves cooling off in the reservoir."

"love the park, peaceful wonderful surroundings to walk, run or swim. would give it 5 stars however those with young ones may want to take into consideration no bathrooms but portapotty and many dogs running off leash way ahead of owners. we have been surprised by many dog encounters, some are very nice but some barking and challenging until owners show up."

"If you are a doglover Indian Brook deserves the full 5 stars. It is a great location for short day hikes, kayaking and fishing. Despite being located fairly close to the Circ and Rte 15, the park is remarkably peaceful. The park is one of the best things about living in Essex! The only downside is that not all dog owners do a great job keeping their pets under control. Usually, this is a small annoyance, but once our daughter was tackled by a large, happy, wet chocolate lab she was not thrilled. If you are coming with toddler or preschooler who is not used to dogs, it is a good idea to keep himher close. It is worth noting that you are supposed to have a park pass purchased at Essex Park and Rec for about 10 to enter."
