- September 20, 2016"We love Hackett's Orchard! This weekend we biked from Colchester via the causewaybike ferry. Hackett's is always so friendly and their selection is great. Mrs. Hackett was out this weekend and we enjoyed meeting her. Definitely get a cider slush! Lots of great things for the kids to climb on, yummy donuts and we love picking up a peck for some apple crisp and apple sauce. Highly recommend the trip via car or bike!!. "- roosta73
- October 12, 2014"This was our first trip applepicking in Vermont. Hackett's is very laidback busy without being crowded even on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in October. Parking is easy, and prices are totally reasonable. The tractor and wagon took us about 14 mile down the road to the lower groves. Perfectly short trip! There were plenty of varieties and plenty of nice, ripe fruit. The kids 6, 6, and 10 ran around, whooping and enjoying themselves. And maybe I'm not a connosseiur, but the donuts were not lifechanging."- adeline
- August 22, 2013"This is my favorite place to go apple picking I've been going there since I was little girl and I love bringing my kids now. They have a huge playground for the kids to play on. There's a tractor to take you out to the field. They have a great food stand with awesome apple cider donuts. I would definitely recommend Hacketts orchard to anyone going apple picking. Last year we went elsewhere apple picking and I won't be making that mistake again I'll be back at hacketts this year."- bluebingo
- October 19, 2011"This is my absolute favorite stop for apple cider donuts. Definitely worth the trip from Burlington. We love the very unique playground and just noticed this year the cool apple sorter machine next to the store. Gorgeous views and three kids 8, 6, 11 months had a great time."- Carrie Barron
- August 15, 2011"As a child my parents always took my brother and I to pick apples at Hackett's. It was a family tradition and was always a good time! They have a fantastic playground that kids will love! Fun for the whole family! "- Shanrock512
- September 13, 2010"What a wonderful time we had apple picking at Hackett's. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful and our children 4 and 2 had a ball! We took the tractor ride to the orchard, played on the playground, and picked some yummy apples. The prices are fair for both for the upick and the farm stand products."- mommasboys
