Enjoy a sweet taste of Vermont’s maple history with sugar on snow, children’s stories, crafts, and more for Magic of Maple, daily from February 15 – February 22, 10:00AM – 4:00PM.

Explore the magic of maple while learning all about maple syrup traditions in Vermont and enjoy the beautiful farmstead in winter. Explore Vermont’s rich maple history through photographs from the Top Acres Farm and Billings Farm collection, and a showcase of tapping, sugaring, and processing tools. Sample sugar on snow, learn about maple trees and why they produce their sweet sap, and enjoy children’s stories, crafts, maple recipes, and more.

Join us for public sleigh rides on select days. Public rides are $5/person in addition to admission to Billings Farm & Museum, conditions permitting. Tickets may be purchased day-of at the Admissions Desk.

"Billings Farm combines the history of Vermont Farming with live farm animals. It is great place to visit with kids to learn about farm life. It doesn't hurt that there are plenty of animals for kids to see and touch.

Be sure to check the daily schedule of activities. You can milk a cow, tour the gardens, check out the chickens and more. There are also regularly scheduled special events throughout the year.

There is a great museum store with lots of kids farming toys, books and more. Adjacent to the 1980's Farm House you will find the Dairy Bar offers ice cream and other snacks.

Worth noting, Billings is so close to the town of Woodstock you can easily visit both in one day. There are lots of shops and restaurants in town."
