  "We had a wonderfull time at Palmers Sugar House. The syrup and demonstrations were fantastic. It was nice to see and old time Vermont tradtion being continued. There was all types of wonderfull maple products available. I really loved the sugar on snow. And there was live entertainment and goats to feed and pet. The kids want to go back for the goats. We want more sugar on snow. Overall this is a great place for the entire family to spend and afternoon."

  "My husband I went here last week. We were instantly greeted by the family with a warm welcome and a warm syrup sample to try. We went for the traditional sugar on snow with pickle and donut but found we REALLY enjoyed their maple hotdogs. We enjoyed watching the goats play in their playpen. A great place to take children, young or old!"

  "My family enjoys going to Palmer's Sugar House to have maple treats, get some fresh air, visit with the animalsgoats, and watch the boiling process when mother nature allows.... They're always very welcoming to talk about the process of the sap boiling down to make syrup! Seems to be a very happy place to be in the spring! I enjoy seeing the sap boil down and the wonderful sweet aroma that fills the air, but again it all depends on our good old Mother nature whether or not the sap is gonna flow to boil! There's nothing like true Vermont liquid gold!"

  "I was disapointed... They def weren't boiling, and because written in details I expected to have boys see sap being boiled! Honestly the reason behind me going! I think it should be advertised as a maple snack shop... because thats what it is! You go in and order from the dif snacks they have all with maple in them! It's not a bad place at all, very cute, very yummy, just advertised poorly! There were many of adorable friendly goats! Also a duck and a chicken! My kids LOVED the animals!!! I wish the food dispenser had food in it But still a wonderful touch! Along with a small play structure!! Overall a cute stop, lost stars only for the discription beng quite off!"

  "I was sadly disappointed. Having grown up in Vermont and going to sugar houses where you see the whole process and sample from diferent kinds of syrup, etc.. was what i was hoping for.. This place you just walk in and kind of look around and then order sugar on snow if you want and that was it... There was no goat I was told she was long gone I guess I was hoping for more of a hands on place. This felt more like a tourist spot to me."

  "Pulling into the parking lot at Palmer's and seeing the small wooden shack with steam rising from roof tells you that you have arrived at a traditional Vermont Maple Sugarhouse. Inside is no different. Taking center stage is a gigantic evaporator with Mr. Palmer at the helm. He is more than happy to talk to you about how sap is collected, syrup is made and all the grades from amber to fancy and everything in between. Be sure to grab some sugar on snow, maple cotton candy and some of the best fried dough you have ever tasted. After you get toasty warm inside, you can take a small hike out back to see the sap buckets and lines on the trees and visit the farm animals."

  "I went there with my great grandchildren not knowing what to expect since I have never been to sugar on snow and we had a great time. The people were very friendly and the children enjoyed the food and then we hiked out to see the trees where the maple syrup actually comes from. It was a very interesting experience."

  "Palmers Sugarhouse in Shelburne is a true family owned and operated sugarhouse. On any given weekend, they are serving up delicious treats to visitors. Not typical of the average sugarhouse, they offer fresh fried dough, Maple Cotton candy, Hot Chocolate, Maple lollipops and more. Walk in to find a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Local talk, reasonable prices, easy going people and a few farm animals for the kids to see and enjoy. The season is short, so take time to get there while it's open."
