Multi-Award Winning author Katherine Paterson presents her new picture book biography, Jella Lepman and Her Library of Dreams: The Woman Who Rescued a Generation of Children and Founded the World's Largest Children's Library illustrated by Sally Deng.

The inspiring true story of how one visionary woman used children's books to help heal a generation of Germany's children after WWII and went on to set up the International Youth Library and International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). Written by Katherine Paterson, the beloved and award-winning author of Bridge to Terabithia and many other children's favorites.

Flying Pig Bookstore will provide Katherine's books for purchase and signing at the event.

"My son and I went to a free concert by Jon Gailmor at the SB Library last Sunday and it was great! If you ever get a chance to see him perform, please do. He offers an all ages show ages ranges from 099 and everyone was included and seemed pleased. Between his funny lyrics and audience participation, there is really something for everyone. Thank you SB library!"
