July 3rd is the Capital City’s largest festival of the year — a national holiday celebrated in a uniquely Montpelier way. Enjoy family-friendly activities happening downtown throughout the day.
The fun begins at 3 pm with the July 3rd Food Truck Festival and FamilyFest on the State House Lawn (for ALL ages!). After the FamilyFest, the Montpelier Mile Road Race begins at 6 pm and kicks-off the Community Parade! After enjoying the parade, join us on the State House Lawn for a performance by Dave Keller and more fun. The night is capped off by an epic fireworks show!
The Main Event:
- 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Family Fest on the State House Lawn (for ALL ages)- Bouncy Houses, music , kids games, food trucks, and more!
- 3:00 pm - 9:30 pm: Food Truck Festival on State Street in front of the State House
- 5:00 pm -6:00 pm - Capital City Band on the Vermont Supreme Court Lawn
- 6:00 pm: The Montpelier Mile, presented by Onion River Outdoors
- 6:15 pm: Community Parade
- 7:00 pm - 9:20 pm - Dave Keller performs on the Main Stage
- 9:20 pm - Fair Sparrow sings the National Anthem on the Main Stage (Patti Casey, Susanna Blachley, Ally Tarwater)
- 9:30 pm - Fireworks
