North Branch Nature Center has become an integral part of outdoor recreation and learning in central Vermont, serving 10,000 visitors annually. Their 28-acre preserve of forest and fields is nestled in a gentle bend of the North Branch of the Winooski River, just two miles from downtown Montpelier. North Branch is firefly light sparkling in a child’s eye. It is a lecture hall where you can learn the secrets of warblers and willows and weather. And it is a quiet place to walk Trail Map here.

 
Nature Programs for All Ages - From events for preschoolers to overnight retreats for adult naturalists, they connect people of all ages to the natural world. They offer a preschool program, field trips and so much more. 

Summer Nature Camps - The North Branch Nature Center has been offering fun, exciting and educational nature camps for children for more than 10 years. Catching frogs, watching hawks, following grasshoppers, making new friends - isn’t this just what a child’s summer should be?
