This imaginative children’s program connects stories to hands-on experiences on the farm. Each month will feature a different farm-related book with a chance to do an activity around the site, make a craft, and enjoy a snack.

In this month's Pre-K Story Time: Winter is the time for bundling up, playing in the snow with a new snowman friend, and catching snowflakes on your tongue before winter fades to spring. Following a wintry story read aloud, children will have a snack, make hot cocoa, and visit the sheep and goats. This class is designed for preschool aged children, ages 3-5, and requires an adult companion.

"Billings Farm combines the history of Vermont Farming with live farm animals. It is great place to visit with kids to learn about farm life. It doesn't hurt that there are plenty of animals for kids to see and touch.

Be sure to check the daily schedule of activities. You can milk a cow, tour the gardens, check out the chickens and more. There are also regularly scheduled special events throughout the year.

There is a great museum store with lots of kids farming toys, books and more. Adjacent to the 1980's Farm House you will find the Dairy Bar offers ice cream and other snacks.

Worth noting, Billings is so close to the town of Woodstock you can easily visit both in one day. There are lots of shops and restaurants in town."
