Reader's Circle Literacy Program @ Milton Public Library

Designed to help encourage children's literacy by focusing on reading comprehension skills.

Hosted by TAG (Teen Advisory Group). For Children in 1st and 2nd grades. Registration not required.

They have a group of teens, ages 12 - 18, who would like to share the reading experience with children in 1st and 2nd grades. Every other Saturday from 10:30 - 11:15 a.m., a teen volunteer will read aloud from age-appropriate books and help children identify key parts of the story. Games to enhance learning will be included. One-on-one help for 3rd and 4th graders is available upon request.

Dates: 06/22, 07/06, 07/20, 08/03, 08/17

Books from which selections will be taken include Splat the Cat by Rob Scotton, Elephant and Piggie by Mo Willems, Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish, and Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor.
