- August 13, 2012"Such a great place for a walk, a picnic, a wade in the water, or to swing on the swings next to the wooden boardwalk. Definitely a great place to stroll down to after a late dinner date. The Skinny Pancake is just up from Waterfront Park, and a walk down to the park after dinner makes a perfect ending to a great date. Parking can be difficult during the day, but it is right on the bikepath and if you can find a parking spot downtown, the College Street free! Shuttle goes down to the park even 15 minutes."- paddlekat

So relaxing to sit on one of the swings and gaze out at the water on a beautiful summer day. Now that we are in VT we will be here a lot this summer I'm sure. Just gorgeous."- rougeurbleu

There is ECHO and the skate park of course, or just take a walk along the dock or walk path to view the scenery. Kids love watching the birds, dogs jumping in the water, college kids playing frisbee, etc. In the summer there is a mini train on wheels that will take you tofrom Church Street, or you can just walk it. And plenty of dining choices including Burlington Bay Market, Skinny Pancake, Splash at the Boathouse or the snack and ice cream shop near the railroad crossing."- ceb
