Busy Morning Duo to Tour Vermont Libraries Summer 2024

The Adventure Begins at Your Library with Musician Linda Bassick and bandmate Greg Rothwell who will delight and engage families with an interactive sing-along and reading of their debut children’s book, Squirrel in a Tree: A Maple’s Busy Morning Adventure.

This one-hour event includes a 30-minute concert, book reading, and meet-and-greet with the musicians and their instruments, a great opportunity for book-signing and photos. Squirrel in a Tree is based on a song from the Busy Morning Band’s original album “Maple’s Busy Morning” and features gorgeous illustration by artist Jackson Tupper.

Come along on one of Maple's adventures as you enjoy this brand-new children’s picture book! Preschooler Maple isn’t ready to go home when it’s time to leave, so their parent asks them to pretend to be different animals as they make their way home for lunch. Kids will love to sing, hop, and fly along while listening.

You may preorder the book from Phoenix Books in Essex beginning June 16.

Walking distance to the train, bus station, five corners farmer's market, Summit Street School and (soon-to-be) Summit Community Natural Playground and more! Lots of great activities and selections for all! Kat is the best in the youth department! Brownell Library has done a marvelous job connecting itself to the surrounding community!"
