- August 18, 2012"I love a Vermont Teddy Bear as much as the next person born and raised here, but the tour leaves something to be desired. I am a teacher and took my young relatives there for a tour and, perhaps, even a bear. They were 5 at the time and had a hard time paying attention. It was ALL listening, no doing. Then, we went to the shop only to find that the halfhour tour had stored too much energy in them and there was very little space for kids to be kids there. There were a lot of 100 bears, which I was concerned with them touching too much lest I have to buy them, and all we really needed to do was play. I am not sure how to resolve this, but this tour is not really kids friendly. I'll go back when they are old enough to sit still. However, at that point, they may not want a bear anymore."- Pips Mom

Of course at the end they wanted to make their own teddy bears and I couldn't believe the prices! I wont be taking my own son unless he comes with Grandma because I know she'll spring for a bear if he asks...I'm personally not paying that much."- rougeurbleu
- August 16, 2011"The tour is fun, interactive and cheep. It was pretty short and It didn't exactly WOW me, so i wouldn't drive miles out of your way to do it. however if your in the area it's worth it to pop in. as for the bear shop OUCH it's expensive. My kids were quite disappointed when i told them i would not be purchasing two 80.00 bears, I would suggest warning them ahead of time to avoid the tears."- katiebug_1530
- August 15, 2011"The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory is a great experience. The guided tours are fun and informative. The factory has many attractions that are fun and enjoyable for children and adults alike. Pricing is slightly high but you are paying for quality items! Great for a one time experience. - August 27, 2009"Tour was fun but just be ready for sticker shock. We were on vacation with our kids, so we were planning to buy a couple of bears. But be aware that you pay a premium for obtaining the only US made teddy bear. So just be ready to spend or set expectations before going."- visitorfromNC
- February 23, 2009"My kids are 6 and 3 and I took them to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory in Shelburne, VT. The tour was wonderful and explained simple enough so that the kids understood the process. I was a fun activity to do during school vacation and I recommend it to everyone."- vtblondie@hotmail.com
