- April 1, 2017"Very Merry Theatre is amazing! Its concept and design stretch the very limits of innovation in theater in a number of ways. Definitely revolutionary in its approach, children can choose to perform in at least two different roles with each play - acting, singing, and dancing - so all children have the chance to play the part they want if they could be suited for the role. This is a marvelous opportunity for children! Secondly, these directors, Don and Mickey, are both highly gifted and personable not only with the adaptations they craft with each play for the children; but also, I have witnessed original songs created in addition to the classical scores yielding to sheer delight in the children and the audience. Mickey and Don are truly spell-binding in their ability to inspire and to draw talent out in their young performers! Their humility and kind natures put the children at ease so they can perform their best! Under their astute direction, the Very Merry Theatre should be a prototype for children's theaters everywhere. That being said, Very Merry Theater is a national resource as such, and recognized for its brilliance nationally."- Nancy Gunther

- May 23, 2012"My child just finished up a 6 week home school class for ages 7-13. What these kids accomplished in such a short amount of time is really remarkable. They put on an original musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Each child has at least two roles in the play, plus they all contribute to scene changes, props and the chorus. Not only was I so impressed that my child was able to learn (almost) all of his lines, but where to be, his dance routines and all the songs. But what I really loved the most is that he had such a great time doing it! The Very Merry Theatre makes drama fun for the kids. I can't say he is a theater buff or that he has his sights set on Broadway, but this was an opportunity in a very small, comfortable setting for each kid to have a shining moment and feel good about themselves."- missmagpie

- September 13, 2010"My daughter went to the 2 week summer camp and had the time of her life! The counselors were SO good to the kids and very attentive to their needs (they had very hot weather!) I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and work the kids did. This is not the camp to go to if you just need babysitting. This is serious theatre. I wish I'd known about this years ago!"- bdempsey
- March 4, 2010"Very Merry Theatre is a great deal of fun for the kids. They love to watch other kids their age performing and the music adds a lot of fun. My daughter will sing the songs from a performance for weeks on end. And it doesn't hurt that they are free!"- harveycoutrayer
