As Woodstock celebrates its 40th annual Wassail Weekend, Billings Farm & Museum invites guests to step back in time and experience the holiday spirit of the 1890s. Visitors can explore Victorian Christmas traditions, learn about Wassail, and view the authentically decorated farmhouse. Activities include candle dipping in the historic barn and holiday story time in the cozy Book Nook.
Guests can warm up by the outdoor firepits with a cup of Wassail punch and take festive photos among the holiday decorations. Horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides will be available on Friday and Sunday, and the Billings Farm draft horses will be showcased in the iconic Wassail Parade at 2:00PM on Saturday.

- July 24, 2015"Billings Farm combines the history of Vermont Farming with live farm animals. It is great place to visit with kids to learn about farm life. It doesn't hurt that there are plenty of animals for kids to see and touch.
Be sure to check the daily schedule of activities. You can milk a cow, tour the gardens, check out the chickens and more. There are also regularly scheduled special events throughout the year.
There is a great museum store with lots of kids farming toys, books and more. Adjacent to the 1980's Farm House you will find the Dairy Bar offers ice cream and other snacks.
Worth noting, Billings is so close to the town of Woodstock you can easily visit both in one day. There are lots of shops and restaurants in town."- missmagpie
